CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (January 24, 2025) — Carteret County Government is pleased to announce that facilities and services normally open on weekends, including libraries and solid waste convenience sites, will reopen to the public on Saturday, Jan. 25.
- Library Hours: All Carteret County Public Libraries will operate from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Solid Waste Convenience Sites: All Carteret County solid waste convenience sites will resume regular operating hours, beginning at 7 a.m. For the full operating schedule, visit www.carteretcountync.gov/2267/Operating-Schedule.
Regular operational hours for all county services will resume on Monday, Jan. 27.
Visitors are urged to exercise caution when visiting county facilities, as some sidewalks or shaded areas may still be icy. Additionally, drivers should remain vigilant for icy conditions on shaded or untreated roads.
