Friends of Aging dinner dance March 25 to have ‘Roaring ‘20s’ theme

The Roaring 20s

CARTERET COUNTY, NC (March 17, 2023) – On Saturday, March 25, Carteret County Friends of Aging, in partnership with Carteret County Aging Services and the Leon Mann, Jr. Enrichment Center, is hosting its annual dinner and dance fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, 3505 Arendell St., Morehead City. All funds go directly towards supporting our community’s older adults through helping us provide meal assistance, wellness classes, social activities, and so much more.

All Carteret County residents are invited to dig deep into their closets or search local vintage markets for anything with fringe, feathers, or stripes to recreate the style and excitement of the Roaring ‘20s. Attendees will mingle with Carteret County residents while enjoying a meal with an all you can eat entrée. A cash bar will also be available for attendees.

There will be an art sale that will feature original artwork from Beaufort artist Dallas Daniels. The talented Travis Thompson will keep attendees on the dance floor throughout the evening playing music from the Roaring ‘20s.

Tickets can be purchased at the Leon Mann, Jr. Enrichment Center, and are $20 per person. A table of eight is $150. For more information on supporting this fundraiser, or to purchase tickets, a sponsorship or donate an item, call 252-670-7530 and ask for Lin.

The Friends of the Aging is dedicated to relieving the distress of Carteret County’s older adults in need, by supporting free in-home services, wellness programs, and community connectivity.
