CARTERET COUNTY, NC (October 6, 2023) – All branches of the Carteret County Public Library system will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, for a Staff Development Day. This closure includes the following locations:
- Beaufort Public Library
- Bogue Banks Public Library
- Down East Public Library
- Newport Public Library
- Western Carteret Public Library
The library system will resume regular operations on Tuesday, October 10, with standard operating hours.
During this closure, library services will remain accessible through our digital branch, available at www.carteretcountypubliclibrary.org. Patrons can continue to check out eBooks, magazines, audiobooks, watch movies or TV shows, listen to music, conduct research, and more.
