CARTERET COUNTY, NC (January 26, 2026) – Due to cold conditions, CCATS, Carteret County’s public transit system, will operate on a modified schedule Tuesday, January 27. Pre-dawn temperatures across the county are expected to be in the 20s, with wind chills in the teens.
CCATS will begin picking up clients shortly after 8:00 a.m. and will operate during normal hours until 6:00 p.m., weather permitting. Residents with early morning appointments are encouraged to contact CCATS at (252) 240-1043 to reschedule trips as needed.
