Chaplain Program

The Chaplain Program provides spiritual and emotional support for over 100 law enforcement personnel and support staff. On call twenty-four hours a day, the chaplain responds when presence is needed and required. Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to the community, providing "the ministry of presence" and compassionate care to victims in times of tragedy.

The Chaplain Program also provides spiritual and emotional support for the jail population of up to 125+ inmates. The program also includes a team of dedicated volunteer Jail Ministers who hold services for those incarcerated in the Carteret County Detention Center. Chaplains and jail ministers work together to provide programs, such as celebrating recovery, to help inmates overcome life-controlling behavior problems such as drug or alcohol addiction.
