Carteret County is now accepting applications for the FY2026–2027 Non-Profit Funding Request. This funding opportunity is open to eligible nonprofit organizations seeking County support for capital projects, existing services or programs, or new services or programs that benefit Carteret County residents.
Applicants will be asked to provide basic organizational information, including tax status, contact details, and mission, along with the amount of funding requested and how the funds will be used. The application also requires information about current and anticipated funding from other government and non-government sources, as well as a description of how any prior County funding was used, if applicable.
Organizations must include a detailed narrative explaining the purpose of the funding request. This should outline program or project goals, desired outcomes, target population, budget, identified gaps in services, organizational capacity, and any opportunities to leverage additional funding.
Completed applications must include the organization’s two most recent annual audits or financial statements and be submitted no later than March 31, 2026. County staff will follow up with applicants after submission to discuss next steps.
