Overview

The Carteret County Veterans Service Office (VSO) team is committed to helping veterans and their families access the benefits and resources they have earned. Our nationally and state-accredited VSOs have specialized training in VA benefits, ensuring expert guidance through the claims process.

VSO’s assist with disability compensation, pensions, healthcare enrollment, education and survivor benefits. They also connect veterans to essential services such as housing support, employment resources and mental healthcare. Whether filing initial claims, navigating complex appeals, or seeking community-based support, our team is dedicated to providing expert, compassionate assistance.

The Carteret County Veterans Service Office prefers clients call for an appointment, although certain benefits can be handled on a walk-in basis.. Please call 252-728-8440 to schedule an appointment or to speak with your Service Officer directly about claim related questions.
