Child Protective Services
Supports families to safely maintain their child(ren) in their own home by eliminating identified safety and threat concerns and reducing risk of future child maltreatment. This is achieved through engagement of the family, their support system, and other service providers.

Report Child Abuse and Neglect

Adoption
Adoption services are provided for children who are not able to live with their parents or other relatives and for families wanting to adopt a child. Children become available for adoption through natural parent’s voluntary surrender of the children or by court order.

Foster Care
This service provides substitute care appropriate for children's needs once removed from situations of abuse, neglect, dependency, and/or exploitation. We are currently recruiting for more foster parents. Click here to find out more.

Work Permits
Work Permits are required for youths under 18 years of age who wish to be employed, unless there is an exemption from the youth employment requirements of the North Carolina Wage and Hour Act.

Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina
Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina ensures that child maltreatment prevention is a priority for North Carolina and all communities have the knowledge, support and resources to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Child Day Care
Child day care is needed by families and children for various reasons
- Children whose parents are working or in school
- Children who are in need of protection
- Children with disabilities or developmental needs
Eligibility is based on need and income, unless the purpose is child protection. A fee may be charged, according to a sliding scale.
