The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone six months and older receive an annual flu vaccine with rare exceptions. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of serious complications from the flu.

Flu Clinic

Beginning October 3, flu shot appointments will be available at Carteret County Health Department in Morehead City for everyone aged 6 months and up.

Schedule

  • Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed for lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
  • Friday 8 to 11 a.m.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and insurance cards, if available. Health Services accepts cash, checks, Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance. If you are unsure about your insurance, call 252-728-8550 for assistance.
  • It is not required, but for convenience individuals can print, complete, and bring the following consent form to their appointment. Paper forms will be available at the clinics.
